Attention Mr. Dennis Conlon Gentlemen: Confirming our conversation regarding the Rockwell markings on the side of the Q-series linings, you are to proceed with production, new markings and shipping to our current schedule on 2240-J-3286 and 2240-K-3287 while we await formal certification. Please advise when we can expect shipments on these two parts. You should continue to ship all other Q-series linings using the standard (current) identification until we physically receive the certification on the new markings. Please use caution in the manufacture and marking of these standard Q-series blocks as we will immediately want to switch to the new upon receipt of certification. While we authorize you to ship these two part numbers, this does not relieve the urgency in continuing to expedite the certification of the new Rockwell identification. Enclosed please find photos of this load, plus a sample of the dust will be forwarded to your people in Winchester per their request. We can not receive shipments in this conditionI The pallets used were not to Rockwell specifications. We are also enclosing a print showing our pallet specifications. Our people indicated each box on this shipment contained approximately one cup of dust. Should we receive another shipment with this amount of dust, it is entirely possible we may not be able to bring it into our plant.
