"POP" stands for "point-of-profaiem" and these newest safety posters are designed to be used-- not on bulletin boards-- but where the accident problems are.
"PO P" posters are printed on a tough vinyl plastic that resists wear and tear.
"POP" posters have pressure-sensitive backs that stick to practically any surface (metal, wood, glass, painted) with a pat of the hand.
"POP" posters are only 4!4" x 514", small enough to be used on machine frames, tool boxes, other types of equip ment, but large enough to be noticed by the individual workman.
"Pop" posters aren't signs, they're posters. They have illus trations, are printed in full color, really catch the eye.
Each (any election): 50--$.16; 25G-$.12; 500--$.10; 1000-$.09. Order by full stock number, l.e., 189.21*1, 189.21-2, etc.

EXPERT DRIVING
This series is built around the acci
dent-reporting sequence: why report
accidents; how to report them; how
to decide if an accident is "prevent
able" or "non-preventable"; and what
a good safety record means.
The series provides m uch-needed
training material on a subject vitally
important in every safety program.
EXPERTS COUNT 'EM ALL. Asks and an swers the question, "Why should a pro fessional driver make a report of every accident, especially those so-called `minor' accidents?"
IN CASE OF a c c id e n t . When accidents do happen, expert drivers know what to do to protect their own interests, th interests of their company, and the general public. This film covers the types of accident facts needed for a useful report, how to get the facts, and the importance of witnesses to corroborate these facts.
PREVENTABLE OR NOT? The concept of preventability is basic in all fleet safety programs today. This film tells the story of a driver who had an accident which was judged preventable by the review committee. He argues about this decision with his safety director, but learns through a discussion of other "tough" cases what preventability really means.
f o r EXPERTS O N LY. Shows drivers the meaning of a good driving record--and what it takes to earn a NSC Safe Driver Award. Filmed in color.

DEFENSIVE DRIVING
Each film in this series is a lesson on
handling a motor vehicle in one o f th e . six situations in which o n e motor ve
hicle can collide with another. The
technique of presentation is highly
effective: the instructor (in the film) simply talks to the audience, illustrat
ing key points with blackboard draw
ings, table-top demonstrations, and cartoon and live-action sequences.
HOW TO FOLLOW SA FELY. Shows the braking time needed for various rates of speed, and offers simple rules for avoiding collision with vehicles ahead.:
DON'T BE A SITTING DUCK, Shows how a driver can be a "sitting duck" if he has to stop suddenly without giving the vehicle behind any warning. Offers a workable solution to this problem.
STAY RIGHT, STAY SAFE. Shows how the center line on a road is often the dividing line between life and death. Explains what can cause drivers to swerve across the line, collide with an oncoming vehicle.
WHAT RIGHT OF W A Y ? Shows that traffic signs and signals are useless when drivers try to grab the right of way. Offers simple rules to prevent accidents with vehicles approaching from an angle.
THE ART OF BEING PASSED. Shows the need to make it easy for the other fellow to pass. Points out the need to curb the desire to race and the feeling of belliger ence at being passed.
HOW TO PASS SAFELY. Covers: sizing up the situation, making the decision to pass and acting immediately, passing as quick ly as possible, proper speeds for passing, knowing when to pull back in to the right.

Foreman Film Series
THE KEY MAN
t h e Key Man series consists- o f four films, each a com plete narrative, which together show how the foreman can work for the safety program,
t h e basic message in the series is that there is no panacea for preventing accidents . . . a good safety program is built by doing many "little things" . ,, . all of which are part of good supervision.
POINT OF NO RETURN. Step-by-step analy sis of how an accident happened; how the accident affected workers, supervisor, and management; and how good safety super vision could have prevented it. YOU'RE THE KEY MAN. Shows how one foreman decided to put into practice things he knew about safety--but had neglected to do. It involved some difficult decisions -- but paid off in producing a much-im proved safety record.
IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT COUNT.
Shows how many people contribute to a good, company safety record--by actively .working for safety in their own operations --by .cooperating with the safety efforts of others. Shows how the total of a lot of "little" acts create a safe plant. PEOPLE ARE THE PUZZLE. Shows why a foreman must develop an understanding of the people who work for him--in order to help them work safely. Shows that this is not an easy task--but that it is a most important one.

SAFETY AND THE FOREMAN
A widely used film series that deals
with four fundamental aspects of good
safety supervision. These are dealt
with, one by one, in the four films
that make up this series. Together the
films make an excellent basic training
course for foremen in accident pre
vention.
NO ONE ELSE CAN DO IT. The story of a foreman whose men are having too many accidents. He asks the plant safety man to "Do something about it" and is shown the responsibility is his.
PACT FINDING, NOT FAULT FINDING. A foreman calls several men involved in an accident "on the carpet." When he learns the facts, he sees that what he termed "carelessness" was really a lack of super vision.
FORESIGHT, NOT HINDSIGHT. Shows that what really counts in accident prevention is foresight--finding accident causes and eliminating them before the accident hap pens. A basic concept in accident preven tion that every foreman should learn.
WHAT THEY DON'T KNOW CAN HURT.
Shows the importance of good job training and close supervision to prevent accidents. Shows how misunderstood job instructions can lead to accidents.

PERSONAL SIDE OF SAFETY
The purpose of this series is to give
each employee a personal formula for

on his own good sense and knowledge
of his capabilities.
SAFETY RECORD. Shows that award-win ning safety records don't "just happen," but are the result of hard work on the part of every worker.

LET HABIT HELP. Explains how habit pat terns ar developed, and how to erase an unsafe habit. Each routine task is accom plished largely by one or more of the habit sequences a person forms, so it is impor tant that safety be built into a person's habits.

safety management
Here is a much-needed film series that presents the eight fundamental areas of accident prevention in eight highly believable and realistic film episodes.
The films all feature two main characters-- an imaginative young safety director and an experienced practical-minded foreman. These two men are planning a series of safety meetings for their company foremen. Together they dis cuss accidents that have happened to their employees, and measures that could have prevented these accidents. They
discuss the supervisors role in accident prevention (both their opportunities and limitations), and construct audio visual demonstrations that illustrate principles of accident prevention.
The result is a series of interesting and entertaining safety films that have good acting, good dialogue, believable characters, realistic situations. "Safety M anagement" is very likely the most successful presentation on the funda mentals of accident prevention ever made on film.
