Although we do a good job of handling it while removing it, our precautions bT akdown when transporting the used material from the work site to the disposal site (littering the streets) and handling it at disposal site. 2. I advised the Committee that as a result of their past concerns, a SHAC notice would be forthcoming alerting the plant about doing a good job on decon taminating small pieces of equipment and such unob trusive items as scaffold boards, insulation, etc. (notice has been issued). 3. A suggestion was re-expressed about the possibility of installing signs throughout the plant on fundamental action to take in case of a plant emergency. This would be aimed more at new employees and contractors. I advised our principal thrust in this area should be more in the continued emphasis on training and communi cating for all new people. New Business 1. The following SHAC notices were reviewed: a. What to do if Breathing Air Becomes Contaminated. b. Change of Emergency All-Clear. c. Loss Reduction on Motor Bearing Failures.
